Cherratta Lodge is a privately owned and operated accommodation, catering and commercial laundry services business that opened in 2010. Our leadership team has operated in the Pilbara since the late 1960s and we’re the first choice in workforce accommodation services in the region.

Hosting 162 rooms across two villages, Cherratta has room layout and amenities options for all your accommodation requirements, complemented with a gymnasium, a swimming pools and a recreation room for health and lifestyle optimisation.

At Cherratta, we appreciate that there is no place like home, but believe that we can still bring aspects of home to our Lodge. We combine a very personal connection to the guests within a resort-styled facility, so that our guests enjoy the home-like qualities of the experience, with the relaxation aspects of good hospitality.

We employ 95% of our staff locally and more than 50% of our suppliers are based in Karratha. We invest more than $4 Million into the local economy every year. Cherratta clientele are from all over Australia and overseas, so it’s standard for us to provide comprehensive client service for a wide scope of requirements.

Most importantly, we pride ourselves on the personal touches, such as friendly and flexible check ins, a warm greeting in the morning, remembering guest’s names and what coffee they like. This creates a sense of belonging, which is the most important thing we can do for our guests, who are away from loved ones.

Cherratta survey and feedback systems monitor the most important aspects of our guest service, from food quality, room cleanliness and overall amenity, through to our complimentary guest services including WIFI, Foxtel and lifestyle coordination.

Our dedicated customer service follow-ups and responsiveness ensure optimum client satisfaction and is the reason why we continually rate at the top of the list for accommodation services in the Pilbara.

A Greener Future

Environmental sustainability initiatives reported quarterly.
Online systems significantly reducing paper use, we use paperless cost savings to plant trees.
Environmental Protection Policy in place.
Nursery from overgrown plant trimmings.
Reticulation changed to eco-spray units reducing water use.
Multi-use micro fibre cloths to reduce waste.
Promote use of reusable containers instead of single-use plastic containers
Provided green tote bags to all guests to support the plastic bag ban.
Energy saving devices to air conditioners and temperature governing controllers.
Utilise BioPak cups and sugarcane pulp containers in the café saving 0.5 tons of CO2 emissions/quarter.
Battery, cardboard, metals and glass recycling in place.

Cherratta Lodge is committed to the local Australian Indigenous community. Through our Host Employment participation, we support the community’s aspiration of a sustainable future with our employment engagement averaging 15% indigenous staff.

Our community investment program is designed to provide services and support that ensure direct engagement with business and the Karratha community.
Annual program review invites all scale of NFPs and social enterprise markets seeking support.
To ensure that local community groups and activities are well supported, our CIP has made donations and grants to a number of important groups, including Karratha BMX, Pilbara Wildlife, Police Legacy, Breast Cancer Awareness and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
